My Old Man
Here's the man who made Sara and I grow up in the cold. Intolerable cold. And in turn, we've passed that misery on to the people important to us.
Brooke is coming this weekend and the poor girl is already politely negotiating for 60 degrees.
We'll see, darlin'. We'll see.

You can give her at least 65....its just a weekend....she needs this...and you have to make baby's happy.... :-)
The truth is that he put the thermostat at 60 at night, which I agree is very cold. We could usually talk him up to 65 degrees during the day. You'll be shocked to learn we currently have the thermostat at 62 at night and 68 when we are home in the evening. I keep the electric blanket on HIGH! Keep Brooke warm!

Enjoyed your photos Channing on your blog. I especially like the photo of the candlelight dinner and the Christmas photos of your family.

what's up with that first comment. you guys preggers or what? hey brooke, there aint nothin like eating that plain cardboard oatmeal with rasins and being able to see your breath while sitting in the living room. it's not about the money, it's about beating mother nature.
I remember well the shivering winters at the Johnson abode... honestly I thought you all were crazy.
Having since paid my own heating bills, I would like to apologize for any eye-rolling I may have inflicted.
And Channing, remember: cold people are cranky people. :)
Thank you all for your kind heat endorsing words. I will be wearing a fleece tuxedo, ugg boots, and a furry ear flap winter hat during my chilly VT stay.
Warmest regards,
BRR
