Dad put a roast on the smoker 20 minutes ago. That's mom's "secret rub" you see on there. At least that's what dad says. I think it's actually McCormick's "secret rub".

In five hours this little guy will come out, and I will eat him.

Say tuned . . .

Sare Bear

Sara and I wait for our dad to pick us up at the airport. The air smelled good. Humid and piney.

Flying Home

Sara plans her summer while flying from Boston to Charlotte this morning. Neither of us ever lived in Charlotte, but I still suppose its home. I guess wherever we gather as a family is home these days.

Chris and Caitlin's

Chris gives Cookie a manicure.

Caitlin snuggles my girlfriend again.

Caitlin comes home after a hard day's work.

Caitlin and Chris practice dance steps for their wedding.

Going to IKEA for a shower rod is overkill. But, we did it. Brooke got us out alive, because I was lost the whole time.

Parallel Parking

Brooke and I worked together to get her Golf into this spot. Parking in Allston is tough after 9 p.m.

Steph and Pete's

After eating fondue, Pete shows Brooke and I a video of Steph snoring.

Pete's man space.

Brooke and Steph.

Dice-K Does Fenway

Although it wasn't the Matsuzaka Fenway-debut everyone was looking for, there was a tremendous amount of excitement in the air. People were wearing Dice-K rising sun headbands and fuzzy dice around their necks. Dunkin' Donuts had a billboard entirely in Japanese on the outfield wall.

While waiting in line a guy behind me pointed to some "Chinese" characters on a sign outside the park. The guy with him said, "That's Japanese, man. You know, there IS a difference."

Monitoring: Concord Nights Edition

After learning a lot in the office, I hung out with Lori, Preston, Andrew and Mel out on the town. This was my first night away from housesitting the poodles since January 17. I needed a night away. And it was great spending it with the Monitor crew.

Yesterday I spent the afternoon at the Concord Monitor observing how things are done. I learned a lot. Here Dan talks to Preston and Andrew about a photo page he was puting together.
